About 40 homes on upper Crater Road may be experiencing low or no water pressure or intermittent service while personnel from the County of Maui Department of Water Supply work to locate a leak in upper Kula.

The problem surfaced mid-day on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Also, the Haleakalā Acres tank is out of service, leading to low water pressure or intermittent service. Department personnel were searching for the leak after first light this morning, May 1, 2019.

The department stationed two water buffalo trucks near 17-469 Crater Road to provide potable water to affected consumers.

Customers are requested to call the 24-hour service line (270-7633) only if a water problem occurs.
