Hawaiʻi Gas announced the selection of Dr. Luke Bailey as its new general manager for Maui County. Bailey will be responsible for operations, sales, and management for Hawaiʻi Gas’ Maui, Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi offices.
Bailey previously served with the United States Coast Guard for more than 20 years, where he worked in positions that included planning, operations, finance, logistics and administration.
“We are thrilled to welcome Luke as our new general manager for Maui County,” said Alicia Moy, Hawaiʻi Gas President and CEO. “Luke comes to us with a wealth of experience in leading successful teams in the Coast Guard, and we look forward to him guiding our Hawaiʻi Gas Maui office to similar results.”
Bailey is no stranger to Maui, having grown up in Kula and graduated from St. Anthony High School in Wailuku. He has an MBA from Columbia College and a doctorate in business administration from City University of Seattle. Bailey is also certified as a master exercise practitioner by the Emergency Management Institute.
“I’m happy to be back in the islands, which has been and always will be home,” Bailey said. “I’m looking forward to working with the great professionals at Hawaiʻi Gas’ Maui office to provide our customers with the best, most reliable service possible.”
