Cafe Celebrates Honolulu Pride Month With Rainbow Macarons
In honor of Honolulu Pride Month, La Tour Café will be selling a limited edition rainbow macaron set in all of its locations throughout October.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation, which organizes the Honolulu Pride Festival.
The foundation aims to “support, empower, educate, unite and facilitate LGBT organizations and individuals in Hawaiʻi,” according to its website.
“We support their purpose of building a more compassionate environment for all,” La Tour Café CEO Trung Lam said in a press release.
The Pride Collection features six flavors in a rainbow pattern, including red velvet (red), mango (orange), lilikoʻi (yellow), mint chocolate (green), blueberry cheesecake (blue), and the restaurantʻs new exclusive grape flavor (purple).
As a HawaiianMiles Marketplace partner, La Tour Café will also offer Hawaiian Airlines Bank of Hawaiʻi World Elite Mastercard members four bonus HawaiianMiles and a free macaron with each Pride Collection purchase.
“We are truly proud to have La Tour Café join us as a local partner to offer a delicious product with a message of acceptance and understanding,” Hawaiian Airlines representative Kevin Fujinaga said in the press release.
In addition, Hawaiian Airlines will match up to $10,000 in La Tour Caféʻs donations to the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation.
All customers who purchase the Pride Collection will receive a 10 percent discount for future La Tour Café purchases.
The Pride Collection will also be sold at the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival in Waikīkī on Oct. 19.
