Walk of Heroes to Honor Maui Icons
Akakū will be hosting its 6th Maui Walk of Heroes this coming Saturday.
Billed as “The most outstanding Block Party of the Year,” the event will celebrate some of Maui Nuiʻs most well known community leaders, including kumu hula Kealiʻi Reichel, Akakū producer Lucienne deNaie, the Hawaiʻi Wildlife Fundʻs “warrior for our ocean,” Hannah Bernard, and Molokaʻiʻs “Ambassador of Aloha,” Uncle Pilipo Solatorio.
The free, family and pet friendly event will feature entertainment and surprise musical guests from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in front of the Akakū Studios.
