Digital Marketing Professional on Maui Hired by Royal Lahaina Resort’s Parent Company
Hogan Hospitality Group, a hotel management company, has hired Taylor Shumate as director of digital marketing, overseeing online marketing strategies for its growing portfolio of properties.
Based on Maui, Shumate will drive digital marketing strategies for its flagship business in Hawaiʻi – Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts – representing the Royal Lahaina Resort, Royal Kona Resort and Kauaʻi Shores Hotel. Shumate will also focus on business-to-business marketing for Hogan Hospitality’s Marin Management, Inc. to expand its digital presence in California, Arizona, Texas and Wyoming.
Shumate’s background in hospitality marketing includes serving as a campaign coordinator at BMI Elite and lead account executive at Tambourine Resort Marketing. At Tambourine, she provided direction on display advertising, pay-per-click advertising, social media marketing and programmatic advertising for a range of hospitality clients. She also has experience in video marketing and production.

Shumate received her bachelor’s degree in radio and television broadcasting from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She holds a certified hospitality digital marketer designation from Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, a global industry association.
