Maui Police Warn of Door-to-Door Roofing Scam Targeting Elderly

The Maui Police Department is urging the public to be alert of a recent door-to-door scam targeting elderly residents.
The department has received reports in which the scammers convince homeowners that their roof needs repairs, but never return to do the work after collecting payment.
Police urge those who have been approached or scammed to call the Maui Police Department at (808) 244-6400.
