A special weather statement from the National Weather Service on Friday forecasted strong winds throughout the islands on Sunday.
Winds are expected to strengthen late in the day on Sunday and continue into the night as a surface low develops to the northeast of the islands, the announcement predicted.
Depending on the exact track and strength of this low, very windy conditions are possible in some lowland areas Sunday night and Monday, along with a chance of localized wind damage.
The public is urged to look out for any future watches, warnings, or advisories.
