The Maui Police Department would like to thank the public for the assistance.  Both Autumn STONE and Santiago BARROS-STONE were located, in good health and are currently with Police.

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing child from Sonoma County, California, who is believed to be on Maui.

According to a press release, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department has initiated a parental abduction investigation into the disappearance of 9-year-old Santiago Barros Stone.


The alleged abduction occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from a home in a rural neighborhood.


The Sheriff’s department reports that an investigation thus far “suggests the child was taken by his biological mother, Autumn Stone,” who was previously served with a custody order that prohibits her from any contact with the child.

According to Maui Crime Stoppers, the mother and child are confirmed to be on Maui at an unknown location.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.  Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous are encouraged to call Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 24206966.
