High Surf N Shores of Maui, N & W Shores of Moloka‘i

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory fo the north facing shores on Maui and the north and west facing shores of Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and Niʻihau.
The forecast calls for surf of 12-16 feet this morning, lowering to 10-15 feet this afternoon along north facing shores. Affected west facing shores can expect surf of 8-12 feet until 6 p.m.
Before the swell eases tonight, the public can expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult.
Beachgoers, swimmers and surfers are asked to heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
