Brush Fire Burns Half Acre

A small fire burned a half acre of brush in the “Cut Mountain” area along the Honoapiʻilani Highway on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported at around 2:11 p.m. on Jan. 12, 2021.
Responding units included the Maui Fire Department’s Engine 3, Ladder 3, Tanker 3 and Battalion Chief 4.
The fire was contained at 3 p.m. and extinguished at 4:52 p.m.
The cause of the fire was undetermined.
