O‘ahu Man Arrested on Maui for Alleged Violation of Travel Quarantine

An Oʻahu man was arrested on Maui for alleged violation of rules and orders related to travel Quarantine.
Daniel Gildenbrand, 24, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, after arriving on Maui without a negative pre-travel COVID-19 test and no approved lodging in which to complete the state’s mandatory 10-day travel quarantine.
Gildenbrand was transported to the Wailuku Police Station without incident.
On Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, the man was released from police custody after agreeing to voluntarily fly back to Oʻahu.
