The Shops at Wailea is keeping holiday traditions alive with a host of festivities including a Santa Parade, free Photos with Santa, and a community food drive.
The celebration kicks off with the traditional Santa Parade from Kalama Park to The Shops on Black Friday, Nov. 26. Starting at 9 a.m., Santa will cruise down Kīhei in style in a 1963 Cadillac escorted by the Maui Classic Cruisers. He is expected to arrive at The Shops around 10:45 a.m. to spread good cheer.
“We want our guests to experience memorable moments and feel the magic of the season even though celebrations may be slightly different this year,” said Diana Whitt, General Manager and Vice President Property Manager of The Shops at Wailea.
Following the Santa Parade, families and guests can capture holiday memories with free Photos with Santa at The Shops’ Wailea Window Wonderland. To ensure the safety and comfort of all, Santa will be sitting behind a storefront window in The Shops’ Upper Valley. Santa’s elf will be handing out complimentary Peppermint Macadamia Nut Cookies from Honolulu Cookie Company as an added treat.
The Shops at Wailea has also partnered with Maui Food Bank for a holiday food drive, Aloha Can Make a Difference. Most needed food items include canned meat and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, soups with proteins, rice and pasta. In-kind donations will be accepted in conjunction with the Photos with Santa schedule. However, online donations are welcome from Friday, Nov. 26 through Saturday, Dec. 18. Visit www.MauiFoodBank.org/donate.
The Photos with Santa and Holiday Food Drive schedule is as follows:
- Friday, Nov. 26 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 27 from 4-7 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 4 from 4-7 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 11 from 4-7 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 18 from 4-7 p.m.
“In this season of giving, we also invite our guests— both locals and visitors— to join us in supporting those in need in our community,” said Whitt. “Together, we can all contribute to making meaningful holiday celebrations and traditions.”
