Maui Crime Nov. 28 – Dec. 4, 2021: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 10 burglaries, nine vehicle thefts and 12 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Nov. 28 to Dec. 4, 2021.

The percentage of burglary cases decreased 9% from the week before when 11 incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts decreased 31% from the week before when 13 incidents were reported. Vehicle break-ins increased 71% from the week before when seven incidents were reported.

Below is a complete list of incidents and the time and locations of when and where each occurred.

10 Burglaries

Haʻikū:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 30, 6:07 p.m.: 900 block of ʻAkoa Place, Haʻikū. Residential, unlawful entry.

Hāliʻimaile:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 1, 5:39 a.m.: 872 Hāliʻimaile Road, Hāliʻimaile. Non-residential, forced entry.
  • Friday, Dec. 3, 10:11 a.m.: 879 Hāliʻimaile Road, Hāliʻimaile. Non-residential, unlawful entry.

Kīhei:

  • Monday, Nov. 29, 10:05 a.m.: 1-100 W Kapu Place, Kīhei. Residential, unlawful entry.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 30, 3:33 p.m.: 1-100 Halelani Place, Kīhei. Residential, unlawful entry.

Kula:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 1, 12:32 p.m.: 100 block of Mano Drive, Kula. Residential, unlawful entry.

Nāpili:

  • Monday, Nov. 29, 5:45 a.m.: 3600 Lower Honoapiʻilani Road, Nāpili at Pizza Hut Nāpili. Non-residential, forced entry.
