HCA Holds First Community Meeting on Maui’s Comprehensive Affordable Housing Plan
Hawaiian Community Assets partnered with Akakū: Maui Community Media to launch a series of community meetings that will inform the County of Maui’s Comprehensive Affordable Housing Plan. The first community will start tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Zoom and will be limited to 100 attendees.

Member of Akakū Media Nonprofit Tests Positive for COVID-19
A member of Akakū tested positive for the Coronavirus over the weekend, announced Jay April, President and CEO of Akakū Community Television. Akakū will be closed and sanitized until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Akakū Implements Temporary Closure in Accordance with Social Distancing
Effective immediately, all Akakū Maui Community Media offices and production facilities are closed to the general public, with staff available by appointment only. The temporary closure is in accordance with social distancing measures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
